Open a new tab > Customize > Show sponsored backgrounds > Untoggle

Disable Banners

Visit brave://flags/ and search brave-ads. Then disable all the brave advertisement flags.

Disable Rewards

Visit brave://rewards/ and untoggle the “New tab page ads” and “Notification ads” options.
